GP Coils, short for Galvanized Plain Coils, are cold-rolled steel coils coated with a protective layer of zinc to prevent rusting and corrosion. Unlike galvanized corrugated sheets, GP coils are supplied in plain, smooth-surfaced form. They are produced using the hot-dip galvanizing process, where cold-rolled steel strips are immersed in molten zinc, creating a uniform coating. This coating acts as a barrier, increasing durability and extending the service life of the steel.
